History, Aims and Structure of the Forum
Our Chamber started an important attempt with the 1st International Forum on Economic Cooperation, which was regarded as "the first international event in Adana" in the year 2005 for sharing the economic potential of Çukurova Region with national and international enterprises. The Forum has laid ground for arriving of foreign investors to our city which was so called as the locomotive of Turkish economy and the first industrialised city of Turkey in order to rear it up with participation of 204 companies from Adana and other Turkish cities and 152 companies from Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Iran, Iraq, Bulgaria, Greece, Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic, Egypt, France, England, Italy and Germany.
Adana International Forum on Economic Cooperation which had taken place firstly in 2005, became a systematic event and was successfully implemented again in the year 2006. The event took place with 220 enterprises from Greece, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Israel, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic, Syria and Iraq together with 168 local enterprises. Now the Forum was taking place as an important milestone in developing the Forum culture in Turkey. In AIFEC 2006, new sectors like health and IT were introduced in order to highlight the economic potential of the region on international platform.
The "3rd Adana International Forum on Economic Cooperation" which aims to be the Turkey's most important economic collaboration platform by integrating different sectors, will take place on 12-13 January 2009. One of the most important activities of this Forum where more than 500 active participants including directors and authorised people are expected, is bilateral meetings.
The Forum, which is expected to be the meeting point of Business Life of Adana and surrounding countries, will bring the authorized people of the firms together from different sectors who are seeking for new cooperation opportunities in the region and aiming to promote their firms.
The Forum will make the current evaluation of the regional and global economy, promote the economic power of Adana and its surroundings with new cooperations, create opportunities for the potential firms to expand to the new markets, to strengthen the position of Adana and to provide continuous development.
The Forum will attract new investments and new technological transfers by the new Cooperations as a result of bilateral meetings of local firms and foreign investors from both EU and neighbour countries, importers and exporters.
The Forum will be consist of main and parallel sessions. Main sessions will be about the fundemental subjects by invited speakers. Sessions are also consist of presentations, panels, bilateral meetings with interactive participation to provide a more efficient and effective ambience.
Visual Presentation Corners which is consist of firms submitting production and conclusions, will be prepared as the places where participants and experts can make one to one detailed meetings.

You will be able to choose the participating companies you would like to meet by using this username and password on matchmaking programme which will be active in December.
In order to sustain continious communication between local and foreign participants, simultaneous translation service will be open in every meeting room. During bilateral talks, English and Arabic translators will assist the participants
